Spoken vows long ago

And now stuck.

 

Why else

Does not any relationship

Go anywhere?

 

Afraid to do anything

cozy and fun…

with anyone

For fear it will go awry

And, indeed, it does.

 

God, strike me down

For I’ve thoughts, desire…

for other than my husband

I married so many years ago.

 

Cannot move forward …

in any direction.

So I sit here…

with soft moving music,

a cup of tea…

cozy in robe…

wanting, hurting.
